Below is a lesson that I adapted from my cooperating teacher on Slope-Intercept Form. Posted are the materials and notes used as well as a small reflection.

Reflection
This lesson was more discovery based for my students, which I loved. I had my students build tables and graph the equations. From there I asked the students what they notice about the two graphs and their equations. The one thing I did wish to be a little different for this lesson was to create more group discussions among the students. I think this would have been more beneficial to them because some saw the relations right away and others did not. If I remember correctly we finished this lesson a little early and had plenty of time to begin homework in the classroom. I did notice afterwards that I did miss a few really good opportunities to connect what we were doing to previous lessons/topics in the semester. I think this connecting idea was a little hard for me to see because I wasn't in the classroom for the beginning of the semester so it was a little hard for me to understand where the students were coming from and the knowledge they had coming into this lesson. But overall, this was a better lesson than the first lesson that I had done because it was more discovery/discussion based which helped students to see the why factor and create collaborative learning for the students.
